Default Looking to move to CO possibly - builders?

We are considering the move to CO or IL and are wondering what the job market is like for construction (residential or tenant improvement) and what the hopes of finding a job in that area might be? Are there areas where the construction is still strong where we might look? Or is the nationwide trend affecting Colorado as well? I will post on the IL thread as well for information locally there. We love the sunshine, and our hopes would be to stay West.

Some people I know who are contractors working quite a bit in the resort areas of Colorado are still busy, but are very worried that when the current projects under construction get finished, there may not be much thereafter. They should be very worried, in my opinion. The better ones have been turning away work for a couple of years--they sure aren't doing that now. I think the worst--and I mean MUCH WORSE--is yet to come. It needs to--Colorado's economy is way too dependent on real estate speculation.
