DENVER — Newsweek is out with its annual survey of the top 500 high schools in the country and nine Colorado institutions made the list.

The news magazine used a broad range of data “to determine which institutions do the best job of preparing students for college.”

9 of 500 is 1.8% of total schools listed and pretty proportional to Colorado's 1.6% share of total U.S. population.

I'm not sure these lists are that important. I know people who went to some of the best high schools in the nation then did not finish college where I did not go to the best high school yet loved my experience and went on to get a masters.

One thing's for sure, Pueblo's District 60 sucks weasle crap. District 70 will take all of your business District 60. Keep up the stellar job of losing your accreditation.
