Your overall odds of being a crime victim in Pueblo are 1 in 14 - highest of all the large cities in the state. Colorado Springs, which is 4x larger, has a rate of 1 in 22.

I think Joss works for the Pueblo chamber of commerce.

Stats are stats but I live in Pueblo and if I felt it was unsafe I would move as no town is worth it.

Right and if I felt unsafe I would move, also, it seems like lately things are getting worse in the Springs. I mean look at this:

"Right from the start there were a lot of fights and a lot of about-to-be fights. Just a lot of chaos," said Velazquez.

Managers at the carnival made the decision to close around 10 p.m. after speaking with law enforcement personnel, but the fight continued.

I disagree with this. If you want urban amenities, don't pick a heehaw town like CoSprings. Just move to the Denver Metro and be done with it.

To the OP, I wouldn't live in Pueblo County if it weren't for having family here. When I graduated high school at Rye, I headed up to Denver for college at Metro State and spent 16 years there, then moved back down here. My wife and I have good jobs here.

I think you'd be bored down here.

Don't waste the best adult years of your life in Pueblo. Look at the Denver metro area - much more expensive than Pueblo, but a much better place to live IMO.
