There's a great book memoir about a guy who lived that rafting company lifestyle - although not strictly just in CO, but in this part of the country. Car Camping by Mark Sundeen .

Thanks for some advice for this guy that is actually positive and possible - honestly I was getting really angry at this guy for being such a slacker and wanted to tell him to do some serious research about employment in the pot industry before staking his life goals so pathetically low.

Heavens no. The last thing GV/NC needs is one more person sucking up services and tax dollars. The locals are not happy about that.

Move along, OP. Move along.

Alaska - very laizze fare attitude, basically legal there too - personal cultivation quantities

Here's an idea, stay where you're from and don't bother coming here living a bum lifestyle.

I almost feel like this is the best idea yet for the OP... no sarcasm at all. Dividends just for living there, low COL, legal MJ, can live decently (roof over your head and food in the fridge) working in some store in town - low demands, lots of property, and nature all around.

Unfortunately, Alaska is full and not accepting any unskilled applicants at this time. And the cost of living is quite high.

That would end like a Krakauer book.
