Am watching Fox31, it's the only Denver station the Grand Jct. area gets. They just showed pictures of the L.A. area and El Nino is making its presence felt in a big way. And that system should hit southern Colorado maybe tomorrow. Winter storm warning is called for SW Colorado, 12 to 14 inches is forecast for the area.

That storm brought 2 to 4 inches of snow in the GJ area. Mesa County was on accident alert for a good portion of yesterday.

Another wave of the California el nino system is heading into SW Colorado. KKCO-11 predicts 4 to 6 inches for the Cortez and Durango areas. And 8 to 12 inches for the high country.

Default Let it snow, let it snow, let it SNOW!

Last night we had 3.3 inches of snow in one hour and 4.6 inches in two hours. This morning, the snow continues to fall, and it looks like a picture post card of Colorado out here south of Cortez. Best snowstorm we've had since 2010, and I wish we'd get some more. There's nothing better for our forests than this snow combined with colder temperatures - makes those stupid bark beetles curl up and die. Yes! You go, Doug fir! You go, Colorado blue spruce! You go, aspens! Your fans down here are rooting for you! All the schools are closed today and the kids are happy as can be, running around in the snow and having snowball fights. Heavy snow is expected to continue this morning along and south of Lizard Head to Coal Bank passes. It's going to be a great weekend up on the slopes at Telluride!

January 8th and this is Pueblo's first significant snowfall of the season. Finally. But I am enjoying it.

A quick hitting system rolling in, will roll out by noon, according to KKCO-11. Cold rain froze and two inches of snow on top. Real thick fog in Mesa County this morning.

ABC affiliate in Grand Junction is KJCT. They have reported that Colo. 65 going over Grand Mesa will be closed for avalanche work for a couple days. Lots of snow on the Mesa, the most they've had in a long time.

We had another wave of moisture come through Fruita this afternoon. A half hours worth of sleet! And one thunder boomer!
