I am a single male and seriously thinking of moving from Georgia to Colorado, I went once to Colorado Springs and fell in love with the state. My question is where is a good place to live that is low on crime and a good singles scene in the state of Colorado. I work for Lowe's and I can transfer to anywhere there is a store. So to sum it up, great place to live for a good dating scene and low on crime. I look forward to reading your answers. I love the mountains so anywhere I can get a view of the mountains I would love.

Those places should be good enough for most people to make the life they want. Up to you to do it.

Reported crime in city of Colorado Springs is above national average but I am told the problem is mainly one part of town. Read other threads here to identify it. Longmont is average on property crime but a bit above on violent crime.

Both cities are about at national averages for singles and folks in the younger age ranges.

If politics matters, the two places are pretty different with Colorado Springs on average conservative and Longmont progressive. There will be a range though in each place, as with most places.

Loveland has average crime rates (lower on violent crime than Longmont) and pretty middle of the road politics (slight lean toward Democrats). There is a Lowes there too.

Read local newspapers, make visits If you find a place you like better, you can always move again, within state or elsewhere.

Louisville has very low reported crime rate. More expensive than the other places mentioned. A little more married up but still plenty of young singles in Louisville and access to more dating opportunities / activities in Boulder and Denver.

Mountain views right from where you live are possible here and there.

I don't know about the dating scene, but what about Golden? It has mountain views, it's close to the rest of Metro Denver (i.e., if you meet someone who lives in Denver, it's not a big deal to get from Golden to Denver) and while I'm not sure there is a Lowe's with a Golden mailing address, there is one nearby in Lakewood along West Colfax.

Hard to say about much dating scene, especially without knowing your orientation to it. Are you looking hard to meet the right someone and move toward getting married in a year or two? Are you just looking to date and aren't particularly looking toward the serious path? Or are you undecided / flexible? You can do any of these but if you want to the right someone for possible marriage, there may be better ways than the bars (I.e. serious online sites, single friends of married friends, church or community activity groups, etc.)
