Hey guys,

Hurt my back, so no snowboarding for me this winter. Looking for recommendation for winter activities in the mountains that are not snowboarding / skiing.

So far I have the following ideas:
1. Snowshoeing with the dogs
2. Hot springs (can only visit once or twice)
3. Dog sledding

Looking for more recommendations, and I bet others will benefit from the cool ideas we get here.

Could you snowboard gentle pitches? Touring is where it's at for me. I had hip surgery a few years ago and can't ski moguls all day like I used to, but I love touring. It's all about the hike. I don't do anything too steep because I'm scared of avalanches, so anything that could slide is out. It means that the ski down is pretty gentle and in untouched powder.

Go get a split board and some skins.

Snowmobiling, attending ice races, ice fishing, ice skating, zip lines.

Skiiing, toboggan, or tubing may be options of done on mild slopes. Otherwise, you may run a risk of hurting yourself further.
