I am thinking of a mountain town but am an avid swimmer. Any mountain towns that have swimming pools?

The resort towns all have lap pools (Aspen, Vail, etc). Glenwood Springs has a huge outdoor pool that is open year round. It has lap lanes, but is a little too warm for me to want to swim laps in it. There are lots of others. What kind of mountain town do you want?

Many of the hotels like the Westin in Avon sell memberships to use the pool, many towns also have a Rec Center, my neighborhood has a community pool in the summer.

Consider a college Mtn Town, and get an alumni / tax payer card to use rec center.

I like the indoor pool at Lead, SD. it is great on a snowy day! I did a couple hundred laps one afternoon, cuz there was not much else to do, and I needed some 'think-time'. I was the only one in the pool for over 3 hrs.

Slightly off topic but I used to swim at the Deadwood, SD pool all the time. Great pool.

Lots of mountain towns have pools - you have many options.
Aside from those mentioned, the Breckenridge rec center has 2 pools.
Copper Mountain, though not actually a town, has a 25 yard lap pool at the athletic club.
Salida has a hot springs pool at the Recreation & Hot Springs Aquatic Center.

I recommend Salida! Used that pool many times! It's on the Hwy. 50 bypass road. If wanting to stay overnight, there are plenty of decent motels and restaurants right across the highway.
