Default Town of Edwards, stuff to do

I've been looking for a place to stay for ski trip in March. I found some decent lodging in Edwards. I was wondering if there is anything to do there after the lifts closed, or should I bring a book?

If I wanted something to do in the evening might I be better off paying a little extra and staying in Vail or Breckenridge?

I got the 10 days at Vail and Beaver Creek as part of my season pass, so I was looking at going there fore a few days.

Edwards is only a matter of a 15 miles downvalley from Vail, so it has easy access to the core Vail Village. It's also close to a lot of activity in Avon, Minturn, and Beaver Creek. The valley has a lot of activity for you.

There are a number of bars/restaurants in the Edwards area, but ... seriously, if you're going to make Vail your ski destination for a vacation, why not spend the extra bucks and really enjoy yourself for the marginal increase in cost? That way, all of the attractions are within walking distance, or ... in the worst case ... the local free circulator bus that runs through town. So, if your pleasure is a nice restaurant, and maybe some bar hopping .... it's all right there and you're not driving back to your lodging. It's nice to be able to do a ski vacation without ever having to use your car for the duration of the stay.

As far as lodging at Breck goes for a Vail ski vacation .... it's quite a distance, time, and mountain pass away. Not a good idea unless you're planning on skiing Breck while you're out here on your vacation.

Vail isn't necessarily my destination. If I stay in Edwards I'd probably do 75/25 Beaver Creek/Vail. Likewise if I stayed in Breck I would ski Breck.

Not touching my car during the trip would be very nice. I'll check my budget and see what I can manage to spend.

there is tons to do in edwards- I would also ski beaver creek or arrowhead (all part of the vail/beaver creek lift pass).
We stay near there when we ski and never go back to Vail after skiing all day
you would need a car though, no doubt about it. So, if you don't want to drive I'd stay in Vail or Beaver CReek or even Avon. Avon has a new gondola to Beaver Creek and plenty of restaurants in both Avon and Beaver Creek. Not the same feel staying in AVon or Edwards as BC of Vail but fun nonetheless.

Edwards is fantastic- tons of restaurants and shopping.
