From Denver, drive up Hwy 36 to Boulder's Chautauqua Park. Propose in the beautiful park at the base of the Flatirons and then take her to the Dining Hall for a meal. Make a reservation...

This is easy to me. I both proposed and got married at Garden of the Gods.

Propose in the middle of the Highway, because in roughly 5-6yrs (Avg life expectancy of 1st marriages) you'll both feel like your getting ran over anyways, so might as well start off on the right foot!

) Kidding of course!

Willing to drive off the interstate a bit....

How far is a bit? An hour?

Loveland to Estes Park is around an hour, maybe less on a good day. Estes area has some of the most spectacular scenery in the state.
Stanley Hotel. Rocky Mountan National Park... Many options in Estes. Heck, many places along Big Thompson Canyon are beautiful, and not far off the interstate at all.

Since I'm late to the party, maybe it's already over. If so, did you get a yes? Please say you didn't ask in front of some reststop restroom!
