"burbs with things to do"? (for a single person)

Broomfield, with things to do and between Boulder and Denver. Golden, similar thinking. Maybe west Lakewood.

In Oregon, maybe Tualatin or Beaverton. In Washington, maybe Kirkland, Issaquah or Edwards.

I would say something to do would be farmers markets, hiking, walking trails, gym and some nice restaurants. I'm sure I'll expand on things to do after moving. Life where I'm at is pretty solitary. I'm not interested in the club scene. I lived in downtown chicago and since I won't have to commute I want to avoid living in a downtown.

There are many suburbs around Denver or out in northwest where you can find what you are want with respect to lifestyle. Your rent budget should give you some options most places, but these days it is getting more expensive in the more desired places. Probably looking at 1 bedrooms in these Denver suburbs, though you might find a few 2 bedrooms. Near Seattle in the nicer spots you might have to pay more or look at studios. Portland area could go either way.
