Hello! we will be heading to CO tomorrow. Staying in the Pueblo area and traveling up to CS. We want to do some sight seeing- Pike's Peak, Royal Gorge, Garden of the Gods, Manitou Lake. Recommend any of these over the other? Any other places we should go in the area?
Restaurant recommendations are also welcome!

If you go there, turn your cell phone off because if you answer it while you're there, they ask you to leave. If you bring screaming kids, they ask you to leave.
I'd order the Polk Street Special, sort of a Christmas style red and green chile smothered burrito with two types of meat, like chorizo and carnitas or beef, and the sides I like is refried beans and potato.
It's small, clean, and the hours are short. Best time to go there is between about 10:00 and before 1:00. If you get there late, they'll either be closed or out of stuff.
If that's not your thing, I might recommend Mr Tandooris...

I like the Lamb Korma. They also have a nice lunch buffet if you want to try a few meat or vegetarian entrées.
The State Fair will still be going.

These are obviously all Pueblo places. Colorado Springs has its own subforum for those places.
The Royal Gorge is west of Pueblo on hwy 50 and is remodeled and ready to go. Heard there's a good place to eat out there but haven't been since the fire a couple of years ago.

If you're driving through Cañon City, I'd recommend going to Le Petit Chablis, lunch is obviously more affordable than dinner...

As far as Colorado Springs, I'd say Garden of the Gods is a must. As others had posted, Pikes Peak is going to have snow on it. If you take the Cog Rail from Manitou Springs, dress warm and/or in layers. If you can still drive up, have a full tank of fuel and good brakes.

In Pueblo I would go to the Riverwalk and there are a lot of good restaurants near it. Depending on the price your looking for my favorite restaurant in Pueblo is "the place".

How long will you be in Pueblo? How long will you be in Colorado Springs? How much driving around do you want to do in each area or between each area?
What kinds of things do you like to do?
There will probably be snow on the top of Pike's Peak.

Manitou the town just west of Colo Spgs or Manitou Lake way up behind Woodland Park? Big difference between the two and they aren't very close together either, they are about 45 minutes apart. Unless you want to fish or just walk the trail around the lake, it isn't particularly spectacular, IMO, but is a nice place. Depending on your length of stay, there may be better things to see or do.

Of the 4 you mentioned, Manitou Lake is the lowest priority. As someone else said, Manitou the town and Manitou Lake are very different things. The other 3 are all pretty great - if you get there on a weekday it will cut down on some of the tourist traffic.

Pikes Peak needs a good half day, imho - and be prepared for potential winter weather on top. Take your time on the drive up and down for the scenery and hope it is a clear day. Rather than Manitou Lake, stop at some of the reservoirs on Pikes Peak on your way up.
