Alright, so I'm a relatively new driver and I'm going to take a drive up to Boulder to see a friend. I'm just wondering is it a pretty easy drive? I've mapped the route already, and I can see you pretty much take I-25 all the way to the 217a exit, and than take the Denver/Boulder turnpike till you're to Boulder. I just wanted to see if people who make/have made this drive think it's pretty easy or not?

It's normally an easy drive, but not today.

Boulder Boulder Run today will have a crowd of about 150,000

It's an easy drive except for:

1. Today (Sunday May 30th) is the Bolder Boulder. Insane traffic near downtown and 29th street mall. Later in the day the creek festival is hopping downtown.

2. Hwy 36 construction. It's almost over, but it still gets a bit crazy and confusing.

3. Drive through Denver. Not bad on a Sunday, but it still is driving through a major US city. A lot of lanes and distractions.

If you are going during the week, rush hour traffic can make this a long drive.

If you have a GPS or can use some sort of navigation app on your phone (like Waze?), that will take a lot of the stress out of driving to unfamiliar places.

Be prepared that Exit 217A is a LEFT side exit from I-25 North to US 36 West
