I know no one likes to give away their favorite camping spots, but I'm wondering if someone could point me into some direction on a place. My SO is coming into town this weekend, and I'm trying to "wow" them on a camping spot. They are not too fond of CO or Denver, and I'm slowly trying to push to idea of them moving here (we were together for about 3 years and I had to take a job here).

So the flight lands at 3pm on Friday, and we plan on heading up to camp right away in the evening. I am looking for something, really anything, that is about 3 hours away from Denver, and offers solitude, river, and a view. I would probably pick solitude over any of the others.

Normally I have had a good time just driving in somewhere alone and picking a random spot that looked good. The problem with my SO is that they are very particular on planning and having a stress free experience. My idea of "lets just drive around and find a place" did not go over very well...so I need a specific location. While the places I have gone have been pretty good, there were always a lot of people around.

I would be interested in Arapaho or Gunnison, but open to other areas as well. I just need a few suggestions of the roads themselves to check out.
