I'm 75, widowed, 25yr western co, from grand junction,co. Meeker is known and is a beautiful town on White River. Like the entire area to North as well.
Rentals-apt and homes very hard to find from afar. 2 men 65&75, straight, both widowed, wish to move there soon. Open to local suggestions.
We are both electric chair bound but don't consider that grossly limiting
any help available would be enormously to find suitable housing-2 bdrm 1 to 2 baths, fairly large ( to enable use of our "transportation" at home. Have a mixed breed small 5 yr old well trained "doglet" Named Daisy!
Wish to move to Meeker within 3 months. (nursing home of 6 years does NOT allow any "quality of life" for either of us!)
we love open spaces, small towns, fishing, traveling, friendly people to visit with, mountains, trees, God's animals, etc.

Hi, If I happen to run across anything I will let you know (I live in the Springs but you never know)!

I just wanted to reply & tell you that I admire you for what you are doing; getting out while you can & not just "going

down with the ship". Good for you! Looks like you were born the same year as my dad; he grew up in Boulder (must

have been a good year for men; they sure don't make 'em like you guys anymore!).

If I hear anything I'll keep you in mind!

Contact numbers for possible information / assistance in locating housing

Maybe one of them could help with reconnaissance of apartments or implementation of move or maybe they know a civic group, church or person who would do what they can't or won't. Worth asking.

Don't know if this one https://westslope.craigslist.org/apa/5627623376.html is still available and accessible but the ad is still up and it might be worth checking on.

This is only public housing in town that I could find http://www.lowincomehousing.us/det/8...lderly_housing
Might have accessibility enhancements or allow them thru negotiation.
