We like to take our dog with us as much as possible, so it's nice to have a list of places that allow dogs. Hotels and camping are generally not an issue, as there are plenty that allow 1-2 dogs.

Trails are hit and miss. We used to live in Boulder County, which of course is a mecca for hiking with dogs. Last summer we made a visit to Telluride which seems pretty dog friendly. We like to visit Estes Park, but unfortunately most of the nearby trails there are off limits to dogs.

Dining again is hit and miss. Mountain Village (on the ski hill above Telluride) has some restaurants that allow dogs on the patio. The Pumphouse in Longmont has a place outside where dogs are allowed. But Estes has very little... Starbucks is the only patio I'm aware of that allow dogs although there may be others.

Please add your experiences to this thread if you are up to it. I've posted in the Colorado forum, but if you have experiences from nearby states please feel free to include them.

I have taken my dog Doogie hiking a few times in Pueblo county and they are dog friendly. This picture if from yesterday in San Isabel.

Honestly she hated the water and on hard parts I had to carry her (she is a city dog lol) but overall she had fun.

There is a dog friendly restaurant on the Riverwalk in downtown Pueblo and my pup loves it. In fact we are going there with Doogie tonight.
