Good afternoon. It's time to start the annual statewide Winter thread. One thread for statewide and one for Denver.

FYI, the Fire thread is still open but no longer a 'sticky' to appear at the top of the list.

Thanks Mike!

The front blew through here in Mesa County in two parts-10 p.m. last night and 6 a.m. this morning. Rained, then rain/snow at 11 this morning, should blow out of here tonight. KKCO-11 announced the chain law was in effect for Lizard Head Pass and Red Mountain Pass. I'm sure right now Vail Pass and the Eisenhower tunnel are getting it good.

That's ok though. It was time, and we haven't had squat for moisture here in a month, maybe six weeks.

Nov 17 storm update from North CoS: Drove back home (north Cos) today from Denver mid day. Roads were ok but drivers a bit sketchy. Tonight picking kiddo up from dance in monument....ugh. That was a bad scene. NB I25 at standstill. All overpasses icy. Everyone sliding at every light on side streets. Cars sliding backward down baptist hill. 3 inches of snow at our house that is measurable but it was blowing so much who knows.

We even had snow in Pueblo. Not a lot but enough to call it the first storm on the season.

Montrose got a little over an inch of snow, Red Mountain Pass (HWY 550) had a wind gust of 101mph. Lots of crashes near Telluride and on HWY 50 between Delta and Grand Junction. Sunshine and 22f this morning.

Another snow storm moving in Monday and Tuesday, this is forecast to bring heavy snow down to the valley floors. Hope so!

Another one rolling in!

Mesa County will hit single digit lows for Tuesday and Wednesday nights, then warm up to the 30's by the weekend. Will get snow but nothing like the front range will get.

Snowed on and off most of the day yesterday and today but it was that tiny frigid cold weather snow that doesn't amount to much (1/2" or so). Just looked outside, we have 3.5" on the deck now since ~ 6:30. Temp is down to 8 degrees. (west of Boulder near Nederland).
