Just saw a youtube video on the shooters grill in Rifle. Apparently all the waitresses have handguns sounds like a pretty safe restaurant. Has anyone on here ever been to Rifle or the restaurant there? Despite being a colorado native I have never been out to rifle whats it like in that part of Colorado?

I haven't been to the restaurant in question, but Rifle is pretty much your run of the mill Western Slope town. Pretty sleepy. It's in the transition zone between the mountains and the desert of the Grand Valley. The Book Cliffs and the Roan Plateau rise up to the west of town while I-70 meanders along the floodplain of the Colorado River.

Never been to the restaurant, can't say I would want to eat in a place where the waitress needed to carry guns, if it's just a gimmick can't say I'd want to eat there either.

We go out to Rifle Falls and Harvey Gap now and again for a hike, the have a great animal shelter out there too.

Rifle is an oil/ranching/mining town on the western slope, and rides the boom and busts that plague many of the towns on the western slope. Much of the western slope still harkens back to when Colorado was still a rough and tumble state with a very libertarian slant.

Aww it sounds like you don't support the god given right of Americans to bear arms.

Just don't support gimmicks. Good food gets my business and I don't discuss politics with folks looking for an argument of their own creation.

Where is exactly is that "god given right" to be found in the Bible?

Rifle is close enough to Glenwood Springs for work & play... for some. Housing is tight but cheaper than in GS or the Roaring Fork Valley. Can get to Grand Junction in an hour. Modest snowfall, warmer than higher up. Good climbing. Interstate beeline to Denver if you want that. Good access to desert. A Walmart and most of the basics in town. If you are alright with majority blue-collar community, an under-rated option.

I carry a gun when I'm eating in a restaurant. I haven't gotten to shoot anybody during breakfast for a good long while though. But I can still hope. Does that make you afraid to eat there? Even if you don't see my gun? Or my other gun? Or my spouses gun? So then what is the difference if a waitress has one on her hip?

I think I understand now what has happened to the great western state of Colorado. You need more safe spaces for the city folk where they can have a "western experience" without actually engaging in it.
