A few weeks back I asked for some advice regarding what mountain area would be great for a family to live near. We are relocating from VA to CO. Thanks so much for your replies, they have helped us tremendously and we've narrowed down our search to Summit vs. Eagle counties.
My question is: What advice can you locals offer as far as differences between living in these two areas besides the obvious like Summit being closer to Denver. We're looking at the Frisco/Breck area of Frisco and the Avon/Edwards area of West Vail. I work from home and we'll be renting for at least the first year until we decide where to live long-term. Differences on the school system, styles of neighborhoods, traffic, better place for kids, would be much appreciated. Thanks again! |

Depends on the $$ you are willing to spend.
My youngest went to grade school in Eagle then Gypsum. He then went to Canon City for Junior and High School. I love both of the areas you are considering so....$$ would be the deciding factor for me. Both have tons of snow and a very expensive lifestyle. Dillon and Avon are my faves. Breck is next....Edwards last. Beaver Creek is nice too!! |
