Would you say Colorado is more employee friendly or Employer friendly from an HR stand point? I'm most likely taking a job in Colorado Springs from CA and I'm just curious. CA is employee friendly to the extreme so just curious where Colorado falls.

California is at will but that doesn't stop it from being very employee friendly.

I think it depends a lot on your employer. Union/no union? etc.

It is about middle of the road but I would not depend on it staying that way long term with the liberals slowly taking over the front range in a state that has long been very middle of the road and moderate for a long time the laws are bound to change.

Entirely employer dependent. I've worked places that were very employee centric with very progressive and supportive policies and others where you looked sideways at the boss and you would be filing an unemployment claim.

I'd say employer.

When I was fired at 7 months pregnant because they said that they, "can't afford it," the UI hearing officer did rule in my favor however, which was nice.

Employer friendly by a long shot in CO Springs. There's 28 applicants waiting for your job should you quit / be terminated. The job market is so saturated with people looking. That is, unless your in some niche field, but you have good job security anywhere in the nation as a high skilled niche market employee.

Denver seems more balanced toward the middle as the job market is strong enough to allow employees a little bit of flex.
