I'm sitting on my deck at 5:50 AM, enjoying my coffee and listening to the birds chatter. It's a wonderful, cool 60 degrees.

I look toward the mountains and see Pikes Peak with its still snowy top and realize that it's such a privilege to live in such a beautiful State.

No wonder so many people want to move here.

In the 80s here in the East, grey and very very humid, almost 100 percent without rain. My last summer in the East and next year at this time I'll be up at 7,000 feet on the Western Slope with those champagne mornings!

I have a new pup who likes to go for a walk at 5am. I'm not particularly happy about being awake at that time but it is an amazing time to appreciate when we live.

Yes, beautiful, comfortable mornings now.

Just don't forget that every place has its not-so-nice season and/or weather. Appreciate that, too.

There ARE some nice spots in Colorado, just not where I live. A hot morning here with another miserable hot windy day ahead.

Very nice morning here in the Four Corners, but temps have been getting into the high 90's in the afternoons. My swamp cooler is on the fritz and it can get pretty warm in my house around 5:00 or 6:00 PM. Thank heavens it quickly cools down once the sun sets.

The Springs is going to be in the 80s today, 90s tomorrow, and near 100 on Wednesday. But it's a "dry heat".

Some people just start their mornings too late to enjoy the really nice part!

I do like the mornings in Colorado but I am more a night person myself.
