Have you considered Las Vegas? It has a great music scene, is a short drive to LA (an even better music scene), has a lot more pools than Denver, recently legalized (I think) marijuana, and has a lower COL (I think). Outdoor activities probably arn't as good as Denver IMO.
You know, this is spot on. I'm in Vegas almost every week (posting from Summerlin right now).

Vegas is a much better fit for what you are describing. Pot is legal starting in July. Bodybuilding and pools are waaaaay bigger here than in Denver. Housing is cheaper than Denver. Live music scene is so-so. I think Denver's is better. The DJ scene is much better in Vegas.

I actually lived in Las Vegas for a year and it wasn't awful, but I missed the trees and other natural beauty. Plus I've lived in places that are incredibly hot my whole life so I'd like to switch it up a bit

I've wondered about Reno NV or places in Oregon too, again I just don't know anyone or anything about those places except that they're beautiful

I figured the pool industry isn't as big out ther for obvious reasons, but I'm okay with doing something else. I also lived outside Miami and it is definitely not the place for me. I don't do any other drugs other than cannabis so I'd like to be somewhere I can use it legally and with many options. As for a budget I'd like to stay under $1000 /mo for a single place or under 750 /mo to share a place

OP should visit CO before coming out here. I can't get any of this to work. Error.

All the above posts are accurate but there is one thing you have need to consider. The Colorado Front Range is very expensive compared to the south and the midwest . moving to Colorado without a job or existing business will require a large amount of capital ( savings ). Jossippe is correct Pueblo is marijuana friendly and the cost of living is much lower. Pueblo is however a smaller city. www.grashopperstaffing.com .....but they sometimes have these jobs

Not a lot of pools in Reno though. Vegas or Phoenix is best for your industry.

Maybe OP is thinking more of a bodybuilding/trainer business than the pool industry?
