50-60,000 acres of lease rights too. Control 125 square miles of land. Buy 10 more of similar size and be in the hunt for top 5 - 10 U.S. private citizens with the most land under control.
Love the pics.

My family from near Sligo would think they were home.

From Pueblo to Canon City there are miles of open country with Walker Ranch signs every mile or so. Never saw a single cow, so I suspected that this was some mega-million-dollar real estate deal waiting for the right price.

What is the story there? I looked it up and not much to find, guess they want it that way. Nature Conservancy has an article, but no date. Seems to be that the family that owns it does not want to chop it up into acre lots that will resemble what is south of the highway.

Video is fun, but that is the middle of nowhere. Fun for a few days, then back to the city.

Too bad the state can't afford to purchase it. Whomever snapped it up, I hope they're not any tighter about accessing Culebra than the current owners are. I'd like to bag Culebra someday but I'm not willing to pay a bunch of millionaires $150 to do it.

If you mean Sligo in Ireland, I think not. There are not too many snow capped mountains to view, most of the year, in Ireland.

Really? Wow! I've done quite a bit of work with the Navajos. Tons of poverty on the res. Surprised the council would throw that kind of money around.
