Close in, some people like Redlands, Fruita, Palisade, Orchard Mesa. Further out Montrose, NewCastle, Battlement Mesa are fits for others. It depends on how you feel about degree of urban vs. rural.

You probably need to describe your likes / needs more to get much helpful advice. Guessing is hard to do right without more guidance.

Would you be ok with one modest grocery store nearby or do you prefer having several big ones, even fancy / specialized? Golf course? Any or really manicured / high end? Need live music, movie theaters? A joiner of organizations or not? Some places have options, others very few. Willing to drive an hour or more to mountains or need them closer? Like lots of sun? Like to poke around desert canyons or would that get old fast? What price point for housing, what style wanted?

Hi - look in the Redlands and the North part of town. They are really nice, but you won't get as much for your money as in other parts of town. About an hour away is Montrose, I always really liked that little town.
