Default "Garden apartments" north of Denver?

I'm not quite up to doing a comprehensive real estate search right now, so if someone wouldn't mind giving a brief answer to this query:

My wife and I would be looking for a condo situation (townhouse?) with one floor+basement that had a relatively hefty exclusive use area where my wife could do some serious gardening. Do they exist and how prevalent are they? We'd be looking for ~1200 sf footprint. We need a condo-type situation because I am not handy around the house and would not want to be responsible for (major) home maintenance, lawns, etc. This would probably be in the Longmont-Loveland-Fort Collins area.

These units are still called "garden apartments" on the east coast, I believe.

You may consider townhomes, which usually have a yard, or a patio home, which the HOA does the exterior maintenance.

If you rent a single family house the regular maintenance could be done by a handyman. A lawn service/snow removal service could help outside, while allowing an area for a garden.
