We received a "surprise" 6.5" of snow in 4 hours last night. (forecast was for 1-3")
It was cold (10) and the snow was light and fluffy. This morning the wind is wailing @ 65 mph - no point in even trying to shovel what's left of it.
Eldora is on wind hold.

Well, it's been somewhat quiet lately weather wise in Mesa County until about 11 o'clock last night when you can hear the trash cans rolling down the street. Hopefully the high country can get some snow out of this system because usually in the Grand Valley gets the 50/50/50 storms; 50 raindrops, 50 snowflakes, and 50 m.p.h. winds. Looking outside west toward the Utah line it looks like Armageddon.
