Nothing in El Paso County except a light dusting in the foothills. About an inch in Teller and Fremont. We saw a fatal accident on US 50 near Canon City caused by the slippery roads.

A small front is rolling through Vail Pass and the tunnel. The digital boards on I-70 are posting "traction law enforced." C-DOT drivers are busy, though.

Snowy and blowy all afternoon with no accumulation until the wind calmed down around 5 pm. We received 2" of snow in 2 hours and the temperature dropped like a rock.
Just read this update from CDOT:
US 40 Westbound / Eastbound Berthoud Pass (Milemarker 232-257)
Closed due to major crash. There is no estimated time to open. Last Updated: 12/23/2017 6:25 PM
Colorado Department of Transportation
I-70 is closed westbound at Morrison Road. Eastbound still closed at Silverthorne. Blowing snow has caused visibility to be at only 5 feet. Eisenhower Johnson Memorial Tunnels have lost power so there is currently no control over the lights on the highway, digital message boards, and they are having difficulty connecting to the radios with crews on the ground. They’re working via cellphone to connect with our traffic operations center in Golden to get digital messages on the highway. Snow is currently falling faster than it’s possible for our plows to keep up with. We know this is incredibly frustrating. Thanks for your patience.

This hazardous weather outlook is for eastern Utah and western
Colorado.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight

Snowfall is expected to decrease throughout today with an inch or
two additional snow accumulation over the northern and central
Colorado mountains. Windy conditions will continue producing local
blowing snow over higher exposed areas.

Tonight snowfall will increase again over the northern and central
Colorado mountains, where a Winter Storm Warning has been issued.
Northwest winds of 25 to 35 mph will also cause areas of blowing
and drifting snow.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Christmas Day (Monday) through Saturday

Snowfall will continue Christmas Day over the northern and
central Colorado mountains, the higher plateaus and the central
and upper Colorado River valleys. Some lower elevation areas of
northwest and west-central Colorado, and the eastern Uinta
Mountains in northeast Utah will also receive occasional light
snow. Gust northwest winds will also produce areas of blowing and
drifting snow, especially over higher exposed area and high
mountain passes.

Another round of snow is possible Wednesday night and Thursday
for the mountains of western Colorado from about I-70 northward.

We recorded an 86 mph wind gust at 4:30 am. Many gusts in the 70s since 3 am to now with sustained winds 20-25 mph.
High wind warning through 3 pm today. Oh boy!

A odd snow storm in Pueblo today as the south side has the most snow with snow pack streets and the rest just a dusting.
