If we're moving to Colorado, what's the total cost to bring your vehicle in?

I looked up the vehicle registration and it's about $170 for my vehicle.

But are there other initial fees?

Depends on where you're moving to. I would suggest you call you local county clerk.

Other initial fees such as safety or emission inspections, no. If you need a vin inspection, there may be a $20 fee for that. I've had to do that for out of state purchases I'm re-titling in Colorado.

Expect your insurance to go up each month though.

You'll also have to transfer the title to Colorado. I don't know what that costs, but I'd expect you can find it online.

And as already mentioned, an emissions test may be needed. It depends how own the car is, and possibly where it's being registered(?)

You may or may not need an emissions test, depending on the county you reside in. The places that do the test I think also do VIN verification. Here is a link with information.

VIN verification applies to all of CO.

Emissions is county basis.

you will be asked to get a Colorado motor vehicle title. At some offices, the clerk will just process your paperwork to do so and you'll be paying the fees associated with this.

The Colorado title is needed before you can register your vehicle in Colorado. Many states have adopted this title process to conform with latest US Fed motor vehicle tracking.

However, you can get a "non-transferable" title issued for less money. What this does is gives Colorado a title to refer to for the registration purposes only. You'll still retain your old title which you'd use for ownership and any sale of the vehicle.

VIN inspection for out of state vehicles coming into Colorado required in all counties. Emissions needed in the Front Range control area ... note that even if your registered address is out of the area but you commute into the Emissions area (for employment, for example), you are still required to obtain the Emissions inspection. While enforcement of this requirement may be thin, if you're stopped for other reasons in the control area the officer may cite you for non-compliance which would trigger you needing to get the inspection.
