I'mmmm Backkk!!
Well, it's been SWEEEET!!!
I am sooo happy to be back home in Canon City, Colorado!! Yeah Baby!!
Great friends ( they had a crock pot of cabbage, corned beef and taters) Groceries,,booze...a blow-up bed...chairs, cards, plants, etc.
My movers will be here on Saturday...1 day late. I LOVE my home and could care less about the beach in Florida!!
Everyone in this town are happy I am back...they are dumfounded as to WHY I would leave a beachfront heaven but, it was not heaven to me!!
My Mom and Sister are beyond console...my sisters dog died 4 adys at my beach house before we moved!! Horrid!!
But, alas, I am HAPPY and where I belong!!
I wish it would snow....after the movers are done on Saturday....
Am I cold? NOPE!! I left Vero Beach on Friday the 14th. It was 84 degrees.
It is, obviously colder here but, dry!! It DOES make a HUGE difference for anyone who is wondering!
I out-ran ALL of the bad weather ( dry roads and all)...lucky duck I am!!
12 hours after I got around Dallas...all heck broke lose!!
Dallas was horrendous on Sunday...can't imagine trying to navigate it on a Monday/or anyday,..during the week!!!!!!!!!!!!! I would faint!!
I will always feel sorry for anybody that doesn't live in Colorado...it IS THE BEST!!!!!
PS..........A special Thank You to anyone who looked at my home and didn't buy it!! Bless your heart............It's MINE,...ALL MINE!!! HA!!!

Florida is nothing to row about.. it's a dirty, crime/drug infested, tourist filled state.
I'd take Colorado any day over Florida. (I've already lived in Cocoa, Florida)

I attended the University of Tampa for one year in the late 60's. I've never been back to Florida since then, nor do I have a desire to visit that place. Florida is one of my least favorite states in the country.

Whoa, here I am worrying about how my little corner of northern Florida might be discovered, but I suppose it's safe from *most* of you.
I am glad you are happy to be back in Colorado, but don't feel sorry for me, Sheridan.
I left Denver in '05, it is a fine place--but so is Amelia Island.
Different strokes for different folks.

I guess. If you enjoy hurricanes, giant bugs, and lizards running around in your house.

Actually, I did return to Florida after I left the Univ of Tampa. I visited the beautiful beaches in the Panama City area when I was stationed at Keesler AFB in Biloxi, MS. Panama City was a pretty nice place in '71, but I had no desire to live there then or now. Blue...glad you enjoy Florida.
