Thank you for taking the time to give such a great response....

Pueblo West seems like the right spot.

I saw a lot of new construction going on. Hopefully that brings up the inventory in the next two months.

Thank you all for you help. I bought a house in Pueblo West in the golf course community. I looked all over and liked that neighborhood the best in my price range. It has a lot of amenities near by and just enough space between the neighbors to make it worth it.

If anyone else reads this here is what I found

The North part of 50 has growing up to do. Didn't have a lived in neighborhood feel.

In general the areas need better street lightning and pedestrian bike support.

50 handles the traffic well if 25 isn't backed up.

The drive to Denver was fine. I went to the Cinco de mayo great and a Rockies game. The drive wouldn't stop me on a weekend. Maybe not after work.

Colorado springs has great natural experiences and restaurants. I went to a sky Sox game and thoroughly enjoyed myself. Garden of the gods was really nice. I'll do more when I go back.

Cripple Creek was really cool. I'd like to go again when they have events. I see they have a bus from Pueblo which is virtually free.

Canon City tunnel trail was outstanding. The 25 dollars to walk the bridge was silly. It's really nice but I can't see it being for locals at that price point.

Locally the Riverwalk exceeded expectations. I will walk that mile frequently. Very dog friendly areas. I sat at a covered table and got some work done next to the water.

The city park with the zoo exceeded expectations. The dog park needs more covered seating and more seating in general. But it was truly terrific.

I enjoyed the local restaurants. You can find very good Asian and Italian for sure.

The golf courses can be maintained better for the prices. Some deer came by to say hello which was really cool.

Desert hawk area Walking trails and cat tail lake with xeriscape garden is a wonderful quick local amenity.

Liberty point overlook is outstanding. I even saw some lightning strike in the distance.

Overall I had some reservations before but now I'm excited about my move.

Next I'll be looking for recommendations on doctors and dentists in the area.... I'll be in town for good August....

Since you like minor leauge baseball you might like to know Pueblo should get a new minor leauge baseball stadium and new team along with $50 million in development along the riverwalk.
