Default Moving truck rentals TX to CO

After my experience with U-haul I thought I'd try a different company for my mother's move from San Antonio, TX to Colorado Springs, CO.

I looked online and did some camparison pricing with U-Haul and Penske. Each company request information online as to the truck size, pickup/dropoff locations and other items. However, once I got to the Penske site to enter my credit card information, I stopped. I was so used to U-Haul that I really felt that I should call and get more information. Well, a day later I received a courteous follow up call asking if I still needed the reservation and if I had any questions. I didn't call right away, but when I did they were friendly and very professional. Well, that's a good way to start. I called them today to make a reservation for my mothers move next month. I've never used Penske, don't know anyone personally that have used them either, so I'm a little nervous. I've had some rough spots with U-Haul changing prices on me, having to pick up at other locations, so I'm anxious to find out just how big the difference is between U-Haul other than the price.

I will let everyone know of my experience (well, not really mine, but my brothers) of the rental of Penske trucks.

If you search this site you will find a 1000 plus post thread comparing uhaul to penske. It is safe to say penske wins for the long haul move.

I used Penske Dallas to Denver. New equipment, diesel, and it was a great truck! And they were cheaper than Uhaul. Would use Penske for sure again.

When I got to denver and unloaded the truck sprunk a leak in a radiator hose. Contract maintance guys were out in no time to fix the truck. I was glad to see that. Funny thing was I was talking to the guy about his work . I asked if he service uhaul also. He said they used to but they dropped the contract because uhaul stuff was in such bad shape they didnt work on them anymore. Nice.

Go with Penske. Get your self a big diesel truck and be happy!
