Just to keep things in perspective...... Big, but not Yoooooooge

Quote:
Colorado’s marijuana industry is booming and boisterous, but the burgeoning business sector is a mere blip on the state’s broader employment and revenue picture.

The marijuana industry employment comprises 0.7 percent of jobs in Colorado, the report found.

About 5.5% of Colorado’s employment growth in the first half of the 2017 can be attributed to the cannabis industry, the economists said. By comparison, leisure and hospitality was the state’s largest job-growth generator at 23 percent, and mining and logging was responsible for nearly 7 percent of total employment growth in the first half of last year, the economists said.

Marijuana sales that year (2016) rang up north of $1.3 billion, representing a 0.55 percent share of that statewide consumer spending. By comparison, the economists noted, food and beverages purchased for off-site consumption — think going grocery shopping — accounted for 7.2 percent of consumer spending.

SkyDog77 editorial: 94.5% of job growth in the state was NOT related to pot. Pot is not why rent and traffic are higher. Put down the bong.

No way man! They lie! It's a conspiracy between the government and the media! They don't want you to know marijuana is the only reason why Colorado's growing because then they'll be forced to legalize it nationwide!
