Default Substitute teaching in Colorado?

I am interested in moving out to Colorado possibly in August. I know that finding a teaching job out in Colorado can become very difficult, it's the same here in Minnesota. But I am wondering what the process is in substitute teaching out there? Is it difficult? Does anyone know what the pay is like? I need to get on this now!! I am graduating in May here in Minnesota but have been told finding a job right out of school is very low unfortunately

Default substitute teaching is difficult

Hello,

I moved to Colorado in January and on January 5 I submitted the HUGE packet to CDE. You have to go to the CDE website and download forms. It includes the usual, original transcripts and such. You have to submit fingerprints to Colorado FBI and that takes forever fro them to submit to CDE. After CDEE receives everything then it takes up to 10 weeks to evaluate. I didn't receive authorization until late March. Then it is like jumping through hoops with certain districts to apply for a position. Some are more simple than others.
