Another three inches of snow in Mesa County yesterday morning. There has been more snow this season than there has been in any other season in the last decade. Maybe longer.

First decent snowfall since November 11. 7" and still coming down. Hallelujah.
December was terribly dry, we only saw 9" for the month.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Tuesday through Sunday

The next chance for precipitation in the region will be on Tuesday
with a more potent system possible later in the week. Both systems
could produce several inches of snow in the higher elevations and
have the potential for accumulating snow in the valleys.

Snow will spread across the mountains Tuesday evening through
Wednesday with about 2 to 6 inches expected. Isolated areas of
snow may fall over the northern plains Wednesday morning with
little to no accumulation. A stronger weather system will bring
snow to the mountains Thursday night into Friday with a cold front
to spread across the area. Rain and snow will likely affect the
plains as well, with the western plains seeing less due to
downsloping effects. Saturday and Sunday will be cold with
conditions clearing up as a ridge builds in.

We're not getting much snow in Fruita but I'm here in Palisade using a library computer and they've got three inches so far and still coming down. I-70 from Debeque canyon going east is really getting it.

Good! We'll take it, thank you very much!

The latest storm didn't do much at the 5000 ft. level but it brought another 12 inches of snow on the Grand Mesa. Great news! I'm not a skier but KKCO-11 news reported that Powderhorn Ski Area on the mesa has a 44 inch ski base. They haven't had a reading like that in years.

Been six days since Mesa County has had any moisture, cold still hangs here as it always does at this time of the year. It looks like the next chance for moisture for Mesa County will be late Sunday/early Monday. Regarding the weather east of Colorado, am thankful/DAMN thankful the jet stream is east of Colorado. That type of cold weather---no thank you!
