It was kind of hazy in the GH Valley today.
But I made some attempts to get some green. Only flowers out now are dandelions.
From GH Valley Park;
From Rye HS practice field;
From Rye Credit Union;
From Colorado City's Lake Beckwith;
From the old 181 bridge in Colorado City;

McGowdog - What is the "GH Valley"? I am not familar with that. I know other river basins around like Grand Valley, Roaring Fork Valley, etc... but that one eludes me.
I didn't get out today as the landlord and I were working in the yard. I am kind of bumming as I would rather take pictures but it had to be done. Hope everyone had a fine day despite the wind on the Front Range!

Greenhorn Valley is the easterly portion of the Wet Mountains and a small part of the San Isabel National Forest.
This smaller mountain range is shared by Pueblo, Huerfano, and Custer Counties.
Now when in Golden, you've gotta go up 6th (street, ave, hw?) to Lookout Mountain. If you look east you'll see;
If you look west, you'll see;

seriously bandwidth heavy
I know, I am bumping this thread but I want to show you the difference of a picture I posted earlier and yesterday found some great Photoshop actions that you may want to download:
Seriously, I saw the difference in how I actually viewed that photo and then I saw how the camera picked it up and the two were very different.
Those of you with Photoshop CS2 or CS3 can download her actions (learn how to manipulate actions or you will end up with some funky stuff) here:
ThePioneerWoman.com
I love that site!

Swampy101 - Oh wow, that is incredible...where in the heck did you take that picture? Geez that's cool.
I really need to get out of the house but with gas prices and my anxiety, I am pretty much homebound unless someone wants to force me out of my house (Mike?) and go with them for a picture taking excursion! Tomorrow? Sunday? Monday? Depending on the weather forecast...

Thanks COFlower.
That's my front yard.
I need to get out of the house too. Gotta head down to COS and pick up bird food cause the birds are eating me out of house and home! I should get lunch. Hmm. Fatburger or Jason's??? Guess I'll figure it out when I get there.

Swampy101 Good gracious, you've hit the jackpot in places to live on the Front Range. Of course most people associate your area with the Renn Fair - eating turkey legs and drinking beer...but not really see what is around that area. Oh man, that is way cool.
