hahaha, I meant to post a pic but then forgot. Oh wait! I might have posted it over on the vinyl page. You are sort of right about what I have. I don't think it's really priceless wood though, just cherry, and actual wood, not that cheap particle board they use these days. I think that's why it's so heavy. Def. not a boat anchor though!!
I'm not moving for quite some time. We own our home and don't really want to pay to sell it. The economy feels unstable to me, and we both have stable good paying jobs, so we'd like to just sit this one out.
You do bring up a good point though, I wasn't really thinking about having to move the thing!
In any case, I do think that this one might cost more than I want to pay, and I'm just not in any huge rush to make a decision. If you find one that's already been fixed up, I'd say get it. Once they fix them up and replace parts, they'll be good for another 50 yrs.

Ahhh, my loss. Just Cherry! You kidding me? I'm not a wood expert, but cherry is pretty cherry.
So...you're not moving for sure!!!!!!!!!!!! Well good. Keep me in mind.
Off topic: Go Rockies! Beat the Pirates and you'll hang in 3rd place! Nice to be out of the cellar for a bit.

We aren't moving now, but I think we'll eventually move. I'm a Colo. native, and a restless one at that.
I'll check into fixing my player and will keep you up to date. Thanks again!

Well, that was an easy question...
I didn't even have to ask. I know he enjoyed his time there. It was a little before my time - but not much. LOL

Ha! Anytime! I'm a little rusty. I've been through about 6 classic cars since I seen him last! A few relationships too.
I'll send a pic of my newest hotrod. Tell him I got this one on ebay!
But this one is of special significance to me, because this is what I got out of the divorce...to...he'll know who. But I'm over that now and back on my feet. Hope all is well with you two.
We used to kind of party back in the day, and ummm I had my moments. One night he and I were having a particularly good time at the Pub and I wasn't playing very good pool at all. In fact, I just wanted to lose and get the game over. This other guy I was playin' was worse than me, and I got stricken with "paranoia". I thought everybody in the bar was starin' at me and that people were throwing balls back onto the table when I wasn't looking. I just threw the pool cue on the table and said, "Naw. Huh uh. This ain't happening. You win. I gotta go." So we left there and went back to the "Pad" and proceeded to try to calm down with less potent drugs like alcohol and stuff...
We were trashed as skunks and walking up and down 38th avenue on stilts! Ask him if he remembers that! I've been sober for almost 5 years now. Took me 15 years to get that much time too. But hey, that's just me. My hats off to those I partied with that are
A) still alive
B) maybe settled down a bit and can handle a couple beers now and again.
C) Did I say, still alive?
