Dude! It's been 10+ years since I played like that. I was going to Wash Park a couple of times a week for League, drop-in and lessons with Sandy Wong, Englewood Rec, Clement Park for Men's doubles, mixed doubles, I was starting to play in the sand, tourneys at Mother or Breast Park...
I was playing 4 to 6 times per week and seeing a chiropractor twice a week! Once we split up, I was done. She left me for a better Volleyball player! Well, that's part of the story. I think what happened is I got sober and she and I grew apart. Being sober is no gaurantee of success, ya know?
After I quit v-ball I got into mountain bikes for a while. Eventually I moved down south and I'd love to get back into V-ball, but for old people! I need to go back to C-ball or something. I played with some friends about a month ago... for like 6 hours straight. I couldn't move for about 4 days. Serious. My knees are shot!

There's a recurring theme on C.D. of the businesses people miss from wherever they've moved from. Folks want Trader Joe's; Ikea; Steak 'n Shake; In 'n Out; etc. wherever they're moving to. (Note, they're not businesses that are still local, small businesses.)
What location is there, that might try to lure both those businesses, and those people, to their mutual advantage? As an example, could they revive Detroit? What would those places need to do to make it happen?

I'm not sure of your question, can you rephrase? Are you wondering whether Denver might want to lure that healthy smoothie place in Calif. to here in an effort to revitalize say, a bad block downtown?
In reverse, I'm thinking of that corner on the Mall where the light rail stops, and there's a check cashing place on the corner. That spot is so bad, I avoid it. It's full of harrassing teens and some very unsavory looking people.

I'm thinking that my post in Denver should really go here. No one's talking about it. I suppose it's not a huge deal, but I'm interested in talking about the upcoming DNC.

OK, I know this has happened before, but I'm a little p***** off. Friday night, someone posted on both the Denver and Boulder forums, requesting things to do on Halloween. I put some thought into my answers, and even looked some stuff up online. The result? Lots of interesting posts, but not a peep from the OPs! I gave it time, thought maybe they weren't near a computer all weekend, but here it's been almost 72 hrs, and no word! Kind of discouraging!

Way off-topic - yay for the off topic thread
If you like to be a voyeur on some of the state police, fire and such departments and want a free way to listen in on the scanners, here's your link:
Colorado Live Police, Fire, and EMS Scanners
I found this via NewsBlab Mike who is apparently getting out of the NewsBlab business - not sure what that is about. Anyhow, it's kind of addicting.
(I feel really nerdy about now)

Okay then. I think the stupid people went out drinking last night and have come to the board, still drunk to be stupid.
I actually like this thread even if I am probably using it for the wrong purposes.
