The zip code 80401 covers the town of Golden proper-- it will not cover all the areas immediately outside/around the town but it will find you properties in town. I'd try that first and see what happens.

Arvada is the most "affordable" then comes Golden and then Evergreen.

Map search or elementary school search is your best bet. The outlying areas would share zip codes and high school codes.

Is a commute in your future? How do you feel about snow?

I love snow. I work from home right now. Commutes will happen, but it's unknown to where. I'm a wedding and portrait photographer.

Looks like you scared everyone off by being a pagan. We are in the same boat, looking for a nice place to live without being judged or ridiculed for not being christian. Hard to find that in a small town it seems. Good luck to you from a fellow pagan.

Default golden

The zip code in golden 80401. Golden is not as much like boulder , I grew up in there and its seems to me to be less pretentious. There are less people and the school of mines doesnt seem to attrach as many students that need to make a statement, not that, that is bad, but it seems like it can cause wripples in the community when you live there. Golden is very laid back and there are being close to the mountains is great. It has a Kayak park on clear creek , climbing on north table mountain , check out Golden city Brewery for a social spot. its a brew pub in the back yard of the owner its only open till 6:30
