Default Wanting to move to Colorado

Hello! I am a 26 year old teacher currently living in Columbus, Ohio. I am really interested in moving to Colorado...went there last July (to Colorado Springs, specifically Broadmoor area) and fell in love with it!
I need a place where I can get a teaching job - I'd teach in private schools if need be. I love the outdoors and ultimate frisbee. I need a place with singles, a cool artsy community, open-minded people, etc. and easy access to outdoor recreation - camping, hiking, climbing.
I've heard that Denver has vast suburbs; this sounds like Chicago, where I lived for 3 years. I don't want to go down that route...I'd love a cool little town that had vast wilderness right nearby...
Also does anyone really know what teaching jobs are like in CO? I don't care about money, I care about getting employed!

I think Fort Collins would be a good choice.

There's a wealth of information that has been posted at this forum about those questions. Please start your exploration by taking a look at the
Colorado Index thread
Denver Index thread
Boulder Index thread
Colorado Springs Index thread
Fort Collins Index thread

(Your thread is also being moved to the Colorado forum, rather than the Boulder forum where you posted it.)

You seem to prefer the Front Range in general. None of the places you mention are inexpensive places to live, especially on a private school teaching salary. You might want to "care about the money" a little more before you consider living here, maybe by pursuing a Masters in ed. Just a heads up for you. Good luck.

Have you looked into the Boulder community? It is expensive but it is right by the mountains, it is a college town and many single people.
