Swampy...what kind of commute would I be looking at from Larkspur to Aurora (Raytheon)??? Judging from the pics on your site, it looks like a great place!

I hadn't paid much attention to it to tell you the truth. It takes me about 50 minutes to get to the airport which takes me through Aurora going I25 to I225 to I70. I'd say, depending on where in Aurora you're going, it could take you anywhere from 30-45 minutes depending on traffic. I've been through there at 5pm and 8am going to or from the airport and it never seems too bad. But I've never been through there during those times with snow, only mid-day with snow and it's just so fun watching dumb drivers driving 55-60 on the packed snow and seeing the parking lots in the ditches.
Since you're looking in Castle Rock, if you're ok with the commute times that you've probably researched already, Larkspur is 18 miles south of Castle Rock and rush hour traffic usually starts at Founders Parkway in the middle of Castle rock so you're generally looking at that additional 18 miles at full 75-80mph speeds until you get to Founders.
There's 3 houses for sale on my street, which is probably half of my neighborhood. But there's more more on other streets too.
Edit: Should mention that there's not much kid activity here either if that's something you need. I can only think of one family that has kids, 5 or 6 of them in various ages and are a pretty rowdy group (not saying they're bad kids, just rowdy). The house right next door, their last kid, daughter, is graduating this year and then they're moving to Fort Collins to retire.

Thanks a lot for the info Swampy. I have young kids, so that will be important to us as we look for our house. I DO plan on getting down to Larkspur next weekend just to check it out. Hoping for some good Thunderstorms!
Thanks for the PM

If you come down this way and get off at the "Larkspur" exit, just keep on driving. The city of Larkspur is kind of a dump. You can drive straight through the city and keep going to Greenland/Noe where the power station is. Turn right on Noe road and drive about a mile and a half (you'll drive past my house) and Noe will dead end into the 105. You can turn right there and drive that 105 up to Sedalia and check out Perry Park behind my house where there's a lot of nice houses and stuff. You can get out the map and zig zag around back there on good roads and end up back into Castle Rock. It's a great drive back in there, lots of scenery. This is the drive that sold my wife and I on the area after looking only at the Boulder/Longmont area. But again, don't know the kid situation around here, who's got them, who doesn't, other than the ones I mentioned before.
If you do come down this way and would remotely think about meeting my wife and I, send me a PM and I'll give you my address and phone. Come on up for a beer/water/soda/whatever...

Would be great to meet you guys!
The T-storms are getting close to me, but not quite close enough. I'm getting withdrawls from last year's storms watching this stuff roll by me right now.
