Default Whats Are Some Nice Cities In Colorado?

Can anyone tell me what are some nice areas in Colorado to live? I've been to Denver a few times and just like the overall outdoor vibe that Colorado has. I've thought about Denver but was pondering some smaller towns. I'm in my mid 20s and like outdoor recreation. I'd like for the town not to be too small so I can find employment of some sort. Can anyone give me some ideas of places that I might want to check into?

You might try looking at the indexes on the Colorado forums. There is a lot of information there. About 75% of people in Colorado live in the Denver metro area, not all, of course, in Denver.

Wink Maybe Summit County?

You certainly have a variety of options along the front range, although my suggestion of Summit County may suite you. For outdoor recreation you couldn't do much better, and many of your neighbors would have a strong interest in such things. This area also has easy enough access to the front range and influx of tourism that many amenities you might like in a larger city would be available. Also quite scenic and beautiful, although you had better enjoy long winters and associated activities.

If all else largely suites you, the primary downside is cost. Many people in the lower echelons of the economy live elsewhere for this reason and commute to jobs within Summit County. Thus you might find yourself actually living in a community such as Leadville. On the plus side you shouldn't have much problem securing employment, in part for this very reason. But many professionals also call this area home, and there is a surprisingly strong economy for such a relatively small population.

Perhaps your ideas and tastes will lie elsewhere, but if any interest at all certainly worth a visit.
