bump....

And no, it's NOT a porn business. Let me clarify a bit more and ask what's the best place in CO for entrepreneurs of any kind? Has anyone else on here started their own business in CO?

As others have said it is not that simple. I have lived in Colorado my whole life and have started 4 businesses (two of which have done rather well and 2 of which failed miserably), and the kind of business you are starting has a tremendous impact on where to start. Due to the geography and main economies in different areas there are totally different makeups throughout the state. On the eastern plains and western slope you have oil and gas, and agriculture as the main driving factors for the economies, with those being your basic economies you can start a job which requires blue collar workers or clients with much better results then you could in a place like Boulder. However if you want white collar workers and clients then the front range between Fort Collins and Colorado Springs is a good place to start, with Fort Collins having a ton of white collar college educated computer people that have very limited choices in jobs (which keeps your costs lower).

If you are building a technology business, then you have to make a decision, if you are not worried about proximity to clients and need cheaper qualified help then Fort Collins is the place, if you are looking for easier access to clients then Denver or the area between there and Colorado Springs is the place (and with the size of Denver you need to be south, southeast, or northwest areas of town.

On a more personal level if you are spending your time looking for the easy answers then you may want to rethink the whole idea of working for yourself, as the easy answers are usually the wrong ones, especially when you are asking a random group on an internet message board to give you that answer and make your decision for you. The saddest part is that the kind people on here have asked you questions that are needed to help you with your question, and you would rather come back with the attitude as opposed to answering the questions or at least asking why those questions are important.
