Actually:
Pueblo - "Pee-ebb-low" As many pronounce it as "Pweb-low" as anything, though.
Buena Vista - More often than not just--"B-yoonie"
Laramie - Lived in Wyoming for years, never heard it pronounced "Larr-a-mee" once. Always "Lair-uh-mee."
Another way you can tell a Rocky Mountain native--they know the difference between "slow elk" and "fast elk." Personally, I prefer eating slow elk.

Oh well, thats how the guys I worked for with the paving co. branch up in Laramie said it. I've heard Pueblo both ways, ending in a or o.
Here's a dead giveaway for a newbie-"We drove over Berthowd Pass today!"

Or "Gunnyville." I'm a former Gunnison resident--many years back.

Thats still a nice place-Gunny. I suppose its because it'd be too challenging for most to live there full time. I spent a lot of time there visiting buddies at WSC. It was so cold one morning the vinyl seats in my bud's old pickup shattered like egg shells when we got in.
Gonna throw some slow elk burgers on the grill tonight. Thanks, Jazz, for the idea. Looks like the wild aspergrass is done for, this season.

An old, local weather expression
Longmonters would say "You can smell Greeley today, so it looks like we've got a shot for some snow!"

New urban cowboy meaning for New Mexico pinstriping: the scratches on your truck or SUV (or whatever) from the overgrown junipers next to your driveway. Ouch!
Updated boot joke (and the only one I have ever remembered except a drummer joke): What's the difference between a cowboy and an engineer?
With a cowboy the sh__ is on the outside of the boots. Go Mines!
