So summer is almost here and it is the time to start spending more time outdoors. The weather and the long daylight are great!

So I was wondering what are you favorite places you go for a hike? Any Specific trails recommendations?

One of my favorite places is Rocky Mountain National Park. I am hoping to go there this season (like I do every year).

What’s yours?

I love all the trails around Fairplay, CO. I spent 4 years up there, and always had a hiking trail out my back door. The Buffalo Peaks Wilderness loop is nice.

One of my favorite hikes I have done thus far is to Blue Lakes, right outside of Ridgway. Absolutely gorgeous!

I also love the Uncompahgre Wilderness! Solitude on the 4th of July is rare, but something I found.

The Raggeds Wilderness is absolutely beautiful as well. Trail finding can be difficult once you get further than 10 miles from the trailhead, but it's beautiful.

Now I'm starting to itch for a hike!

Some of my favorites. Most of them are not hard to figure out/find/get to. If you're really curious, DM me.

Nice pics but for everyone's benefit it would be great if you would caption on where each pic is at (I ~think~ I can guess some of them).

Take a Hike: Ten Top Places to Hike in Colorado

Colorado is a place of natural beauty. The state inspired "America the Beautiful" and served as the backdrop for a number of major motion pictures. It's no surprise that Colorado is also home to some of the most outstanding hiking trails in the country. From high-altitude treks up the side of one of the state's 54 "Fourteeners" (14,000-foot mountains) to relaxing strolls through fields of wildflowers, Colorado has the perfect hiking experience for just about anyone.
