Regarding growth and development...some people like it, some people don't. Ya can't please everybody. When growth in a place where I'm living exceeds what I am willing to tolerate, I move to another area that is more appelaing to me. Many years ago, I found that complaining about it did nothing to slow it down. All my complaining ever accomplished was to rain on someone elses parade. For me anyway, it's far healthier, and easier to just move.
Until there is no place decent left to go. Colorado is doing its best to get there. Personally, I'm working hard to put a screeching halt to the kind of bad growth (and that is most of it) that is ruining Colorado. Some may see that as a futile, maybe even evil effort--but I think it will prove to be the right one over time. And no one ever said that doing the right thing would be easy--or popular. Doing what was "popular" over the last few decades or so is part of what has gotten us into the hellacious economic/environmental/energy mess that we're in now.

Jazz....I applaud your actions in this regard. It's your complaining, whining, sarcasm, and cynicism on the forum that gets old. Not only does it change nothing, I think it also influences people to take your opinions less seriously. IMO, your arguments would carry more weight if you dropped the negative, whiny tone. When you are presenting solutions, you are one of the most compelling posters throughout the vast realm of city-data forums. When jazz speaks......others listen!
