Does anyone know of a good place to go prairie dog hunting in the area? We have heard that WY has some great spots that are on open land. We are willing to drive up to WY, but were hoping to find somewhere more local. Any ideas? Thanks!

Just drive around in rural Larimer county and look for ruined fields full of their mounds, and ask the landowners for permission to dispatch them. Great way to sight in before big game season commences!

Yeah most people will be more than happy to let you take them out.

If you go further east there are plenty of farmers out there that would welcome you with open arms. Plus you will not have to deal with the people who think shooting them is cruel and unusual punishment. If only they knew about the cattle that break their legs stepping in their holes, or the number of rattle snakes that they attract!!!

you could shoot them every day for a year straight and still not put a dent in the population.

We have had trouble finding farmers...where do you find them to ask them? Do you have to go knock on their door?! We are headed to WY today because they have lots of BLM land that is open to hunt on and the ranchers were a lot easier to get a hold of. I know that there are lots of areas around Fort Collins that desperately need someone to come in a shoot a few, but it is all open space land and definitely does not allow hunting! Thanks!

I could ask my man if he's allow some hunting on his property in Fountain, if you're interested.

There's tons of those little bastards out there.

I won't "blast" but c'mon? What is the fun in shooting living creatures and ending their lives? It's pretty morbid to me.
