Is the 800 mile drive from Missouri to Colorado expensive? I mean which moving truck would be better, the diesel or gas. I wonder how much it cost to fill it up. What is your experience in using these moving trucks with fuel at high cost. We will be leaving Missosuri to Colorado July 31, 2008. I hope fuel goes down by then, with more production on the way.

Default Missouri to Colorado

Is buying a home more affordable now in Colorado. We are looking at southeast Aurora. Looking for the 150 to 160000 home. Hope to buy something that has been on the market for an extended period that has come down to the 150 to 160 range.

My wife and I are looking into the 22' Penske truck (diesel). I've been reading around that it gets somewhere between 8-14 mpg... but nothing too exact.

So 800 miles @ 8-14mpg (average mpg of 11)
72 Gallons @ $4.50 = $327

Yeah, as far as prices going down... don't bank on it. I would plan for higher costs to save you from cutting it too close.
