Default relocating to Castle Rock

Hello, after two years of research and three visits to Castle Rock, my husband and I bought a home in the Castle Oaks area. Anyone live in the neighborhood? and can give me any info on the town itself? We will not be actually moving there until June 'o7 I am a stay at home mom and my husband is a high school teacher. We are moving from the desert of Ca. Thanks in advance, Kathleen

Default Kathleen...

....welcome to city-data....

Considerable info provided by numerous posters is already in the threads, including infomation on Castle Rock.

Newbies may find such data on any location by going to the main state forum and using the Search this Forum tool. Insert key words like castle or rock or soccer or school or pizza or the name of your particular neighborhood or whatever is your interest.

Pictures of most cities in the USA can be found at www.city-data.com and drill down to the city of choice.

One thing we seek to avoid on this site is the repeating the same info over and over....believe me, almost everyone wants to know where are the parts of town to avoid... where are the good schools.... where are houses cheap... where is it walkable to the things you need.... etc... Newbies can help themselves get much better info, immediately, by using Search.

….the Search function is very specific....if you put in schools it will find every case of schools, but it will NOT find the singular version school. It won't find word segments either, you can put in camp, and it will find camp, but it won't find the word camping.

Savvy surfers will love Advanced Search, where you search multiple states or for posts by a particular member, etc.

If the search tool cannot find the info you seek, let us know what you still need.

Thanks!
s/Mike from back east

I agree with Mike. The City-Data site is really good. (I'd spent *hours* playing with the different ways to sort their data ... then I saw a "Forum" link....)

The Forums are great for personal viewpoints ... but the data is uniform and that gives you a really good start. (How does one know "Pat's" opinion would be anything like their own...?)

All that being posted, I've lived in C Rock for 16 years. If you don't find it with simple SEARCHES, post back your specific questions and I'll try to help.
