Great photos! My stomach dropped into my toes just looking at them. Have I mentioned my fear of heights?

I'm also afraid of heights, but I took the plunge (pun intended) and even took the tram ride across the gorge! You should go...you never know what you're capable of until you give it a try.

Go figure, a tourist going in winter, all I have are 4 shots not great quality, but something maybe not many people see. First is Royal Gorge, second is tramway, and third and fourth are looking down from before entering tram. not sure how to post pics like on top?

Thanks for sharing your photos! I imagine that it's only more beautiful with snow covering everything. I'll have to go back this wintertime.

I never realized how desert-like Colorado could be
|
Then you should get out to the westren slope (the Grand junction area)
Visit the Colorado National monument. Red rock formations in the canyon, lots of hiking etc...
The area is high desert and very unlike the "rocky mtn" region.
It's only about an hour from Arches National park in Utah.
