I'm not saying its Bob's fault, but there has been a lot of hot air ever since he moved back.
Everything points to Bob! Gotta be his fault.

I actually prefer the weather out east. Of course, it's cooler up here in Upstate NY than MD. I'd have to say that the sun shines the majority of the time up here too.

I don't understand how it can be sunny most of the time in an area with more than 40 inches of annual precipitation. There is a surprising number of cloudy days even in Grand Junction, CO where the annual precipitation is less than 10 inches. However, compared to anywhere in the eastern US, Colorado is a very sunny state.

You sir, are correct. Ballston Spa: averages 180 days of sunshine. United States avg: 205

Still far less of an exaggeration than an earlier poster saying the "sun has been out twice this summer".

Personally, I consider that a nicer variety vs the sun-baked high plains. I like rainy days on occassion and here it's fairly varied, getting a good rain maybe once or twice a week. At least I don't have to water my lawn anymore and feel guilty about robbing it from farmers and the Ogallala Aquifer.

Are they still planting kentucky bluegrass in new developements?

It's bad. In some areas 2008 YTD is the worst year on record. Certainly for the Front Range it's among the worst. It's only because of heavy mountain snowfall last winter that water resources aren't in danger.

Not quite as bad now-I've gotten 1 1/2 " in the rain gauge so far out of this lovely soaker we're having this evening. Should put a damper on the Front Range fire danger for awhile as well.

The rain last night was wonderful because it was a nice soaker! Well, after the tornado sirens finally went off...
But I was surprised it just kept raining nicely and didn't just do the "blow through" storm we usually get right now.

I just looked out the window and noticed that the streets are wet over here in Grand Junction. I haven't seen wet streets for a few months.
